Dear Sir,
On behalf of the Hungarian Aeronautical Association and the organizers I invite four of your pilots to participate on the 1st Eurowind International Gliding Championships will be held together with 49th Hungarian National Championships this year.
The Championships will take place at airport of Matkopuszta (situated near to Kecskemet, in the middle of the famous Hungarian Plain) in the period between 26 June and 11 July, 2004.
The Championships will be organized in five FAI Classes (Club, Standard, 15 meter, 18 meter and Open). Your pilots are welcomed in any classes according to their possibilities or/and wishes with remark, that in case there will be less than 10 entries in 18m Class, it will be combined with 15m Class using handicap list. The international Club Class will be a handicapped Class of course.
The first bulletin of the Championships will be issued and sent to you before end of March, and we will put it to the home page of Matkópuszta too (www.matkopuszta.hu).
In the hope that we will have similar nice weather as we had there last year I have to mention, that on the 2003 year National Championships we had 11 championships days and the Open Class (with Jantar 2B) flew four 500 km AAT and AST and one succesfull 750 km Assigned Speed Task on polygon course from Matkopuszta.
The Championships could give knowledge about up-to-date technical and contest possibilities, will give good opportunity to get practice just before the 12th European Gliding Championships (18 July - 10 August, Lithuania) and what is the most important, will fasten the friendship between pilots and Nations participating on the Championships.
